Gerald Tang
Executive Director

Dr. Gerald Tang serves as the inaugural Executive Director for the Career Services and Internship Program Office as he continues to amplify the BSU Works effort.
With extensive experience in higher education, Gerald brings together rich experiences working at various institutions, including St. Francis College, Baruch College/CUNY, Columbia University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, La Roche University, and Susquehanna University. Most recently, Gerald was the inaugural Assistant Dean for Career Integration at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. During his tenure, he helped reimagine career services operations and provide a strategic vision to develop forward-thinking career development practices.
Gerald received his doctoral degree from Maryville University of St. Louis, his master’s degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and his bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University/SUNY. His research interests include Asian American college presidency, international students’ career development, transfer student career success, DEIB issues, and technology integration in career services.

John Paganelli
Director of Alumni Career Development and Special Initiatives
He/Him/His
John is the Director of Alumni Career Development & Special Initiatives. He has worked in Career Services for almost 23 years under the Division of Outreach & Engagement (DOE), and his experience in higher education spans over 31 years. He is a strong advocate of high–impact practices including internships, course projects, research, co-ops, and study abroad. BSU students can gain real-world experience through a classroom internship called the CUBEs Program, and John has served as a founding, volunteer member of CUBEs since 2019. Most of all, John enjoys working one-on-one with students/alums, and his hope is that students will engage in career development and exploration as early as possible in their college career. He works with alumni in these specific initiatives: Alumni Career Chat; Beyond BSU: Speakers Series; Alumni Spotlights; and connecting with alumni and employer partners in areas related to science, math, computer science, and biotechnology. Developing strong relationships with employers is one of his strong suits. His alma maters include Clark University in Worcester, MA, and Stonehill College in Easton, MA.

Laurent Troland
Associate Director, Operations and Data Management

Laurent Troland is the Associate Director of Operations and Data Management. He oversees office operations, technology resource integration, data management, and the First Destination Survey. In his 16+ years of experience at BSU, he has held roles as a career counselor, recruitment coordinator, and, most recently, Associate Director of Employer Services. For the latter, he manages campus career fairs and networking events, and he engages with employers and BSU alumni looking to hire BSU candidates. He has chaired several committees and served on the board of directors of the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers. Laurent holds a master’s degree in college counseling from the University of Delaware and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut.

Katie Vagen
Associate Director of Internships & Career Development
She/Her/Hers
Katie Vagen is Associate Director of Internships and Career Development. She’s been at BSU since 2009 and currently serves as the main contact for students, faculty, and employers involved in the internship process while also helping to strategize career development and advising initiatives for the office. Her favorite part of the job is advising students and alumni because each person who walks into her office has different interests, skills, and goals–this keeps things interesting! Katie’s professional involvement includes volunteering with college access organizations such as Summer Search and Bottom Line. Katie has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in college student development and counseling from Northeastern University.

Carol Crosby
Associate Director, Life Design @BSU
She/Her/Hers
As Associate Director of Life Design @BSU, Carol is collaborating with institutional constituents to integrate life design into the campus community. This new university initiative is helping students think early, often, and creatively about college engagement as well as their future career and life.
Carol has worked in higher education for 25+ years, including stints at Brandeis University, University of Connecticut, and Wesleyan University. She has received a Fulbright to visit higher education institutions in Germany and share career services best practices; accepted a university grant to participate in HERS Institute at Wellesley College; and enhanced her leadership skills at National Association of Colleges and Employers’ Management Leadership Institute. She is certified in Life Design, MBTI, and Strong. Her educational background includes an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Cape Cod Community College, a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Wheaton College, and a master’s degree in higher education administration from University of Rhode Island.
She has built strong relationships with regional and international internship programs committed to diversity and equity: MGH Aspire internship program for neurodiverse students, Virtual Internships, and Hack.Diversity. Her work helping students build and enhance professional competencies has been presented at NACE and EACE, and she is currently piloting a program, focused on building competencies integrated with the life design methodology for campus-based student employees. The Massachusetts Women in Public Higher Education, the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, and BSU’s Minnock Center for International Engagement have presented Carol with recognition awards for her work with students.

Tracey Gray
Assistant Director
She/Her/Hers
Tracey Gray is the Assistant Director of Career Services. During her 20+ years working in the office, she has gained event management and employer relations experience by coordinating and implementing career fairs, career panels, on-campus interviews, networking events, and practice interview programs. Tracey finds the most rewarding part of her job to be advising undergraduate, graduate, and alumni populations in the areas of resume and cover letter writing, internship and job search strategies, effective interviewing, career exploration, choosing a major, preparing for graduate school, and effective networking through LinkedIn. Tracey received her master’s of education in counseling from BSU.

Amy Kirkcaldy
Assistant Director of Employer Engagement and Outreach
She/Her/Hers
Amy Kirkcaldy is the Assistant Director of Employer Outreach and Engagement. She advises students, helps coordinate networking events, and works to cultivate relationships with employers to create diverse internship and professional opportunities for BSU students. Amy has over 20 years of experience in educational settings, including coordinating the MIT-Mexico internship program, teaching high school and middle school Spanish, counseling in college admissions and financial aid, and, most recently, serving as Associate Director of College Counseling at Milton Academy. She brings a passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in both her professional and personal life. She speaks fluent Spanish and has lived abroad in Spain and Mexico. She has her bachelor’s in history from Harvard College and her master’s in education and teaching license from Fitchburg State College.

Jill Gardosik
Career Advisor
Jill Gardosik is a Career Advisor who has experience working for private companies, non-profits, and government agencies. She has a background in Human Resources which allows her to provide an “employer’s perspective” when speaking with students during career advising sessions. Her favorite type of career appointment is helping students with their job search.

Katie Muldoon
Marketing and Program Coordinator

Katie Muldoon is the Marketing and Program Coordinator for the Career Services and Internship Program Office. She produces and manages content for the office’s social media accounts, publicizes career-related events around campus, creates promotional materials, and mentors a team of student marketing interns. She has been instrumental in bringing Dress for Success events to the BSU campus, and she oversees the Bear Essentials professional clothing closet for students. She is passionate about equity, access, and belonging in career services, and she strives to empower students to confidently navigate their career paths and achieve their life and career goals. An alumna of Bridgewater State University, Katie holds a master’s degree in higher education administration educational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in public relations.

Nicole Precourt
Career Advisor
Nicole is a part-time Career Advisor for the Career Services & Internship Program Office. She has an extensive background in education, primarily higher education, over the last 20 years. She has worked in admissions, academic advising, career advising, and as a faculty member. She also runs her own career counseling private practice. She has also worked at Massasoit Community College and Dean College.
Nicole has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in hospitality management and a master’s degree from Troy University in management with a concentration in human resources management. She is also a Global Career Development Facilitator and a Certified Career Services Practitioner.

Amanda Saucier
Career Advisor
Amanda is a part-time Career Advisor at the Career Services & Internship Program Office. As a Graduate Assistant in the office during the 2022-2023 academic year, she reviewed resumes and cover letters, facilitated workshops, and assisted at career fairs. Amanda also planned and organized a career panel titled “Breaking Barriers through Group Work: A Social Work Career Panel.”
Amanda is a graduate student studying for her master’s degree in social work (MSW) at BSU and will be graduating in May 2024. Through her time in the MSW program, Amanda has gained a passion for networking, outreach, and advocacy efforts. She volunteered at events to raise awareness for The SUPER Act and at BSU’s Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk. Amanda is currently a student ambassador for the National Association of Social Workers, and she enjoys advocating for inclusion and equity for all.
In addition to her position in the Career Services & Internship Program Office, Amanda is also a clinical social work intern at an outpatient mental health practice, where she provides services to children, adolescents, and adults. After graduation, she hopes to also work with couples, families, and groups.

Denise Diliddo
Office Manager
Denise Diliddo is the Office Manager for the Career Services and Internship Program Office. She has been at BSU since 1997, originally in a part-time position, and subsequently transitioning to a full-time position in the fall of 2002. Denise manages the clerical staff and our student workers in the office. She is responsible for the general day-to-day operation of the front office, the departmental websites, and the office budget.
Lynne Augenti
Administrative Assistant
Lynne Augenti is the Administrative Assistant for the Career Services and Internship Program Office. She has been at BSU since 2006. Lynne works with Handshake approving employers, employment opportunities, and internships. She also target markets internship opportunities to students, schedules appointments, and serves as a back-up for the front office. Lynne earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Cheryl Bezanson
Clerical Assistant
Cheryl Bezanson is the Clerical Assistant for the Career Services and Internship Program Office. She’s been at BSU since 2017 and is the first face the students see when they enter the office. In addition to greeting students and scheduling appointments, Cheryl works directly with our platform Handshake posting and approving employment opportunities and guiding students and employers to navigate the platform. She enjoys interacting with the students, collaborating with her coworkers, and lending a hand when needed.
Vanessa Miranda
She/Her
Vanessa Miranda is the Graduate Assistant for the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 academic year. She advises undergraduates by providing resume and cover letter reviews. In addition, she supports the Marketing and Program Coordinator by creating social media content. One of her major contributions is “Tiny Talk Tuesdays” on the Career Services and Internship Program Office’s Instagram. Vanessa is also helping analyze data for a campus-based longitudinal research project called Life Design@BSU. She will be presenting her report at the University’s symposium in spring 2024. She is a first-generation college student and a Double-Bear who received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in social work. Outside her role as a graduate assistant, Vanessa is a social work intern offering mental health counseling to local high school-aged students, and next fall she will be interning at a community-based healthcare center.
Nephtali LeBlanc
Career Assistant
Nephi was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a sophomore majoring in sociology. She started working in the Career Services and Internship Program Office during her first year on campus, and she immediately loved it and became an integral part of the team. Nephi came in as an undecided student, but after meeting with our career counselors, she was able to confidently commit to her current course of study, which she says was a huge weight off her shoulders! Currently, she’s beginning to explore her career options after graduation, and through her role in our office, she hopes to help other students who start out undecided find their path.
Dennis DeMarino
Career Assistant
Dennis DeMarino is a New Jersey native currently pursuing a degree in marketing at Bridgewater State University. Dennis is proud to have earned a place on the Dean’s List for three consecutive semesters. For the past two semesters, he has served as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Bridgewater Collegiate Investors where he offers strategic insights and creativity to the organization’s success. He is Vice President of the Accounting and Finance Club and has worked the front desk at the Career Services & Internship office for over a year and a half. Dennis has a passion for helping others and is eager to pursue his own business ventures after graduation.
Mollie Rose Burk
Career Assistant
Mollie Rose is one of our talented Student Office Assistants at the Career Services and Internship Program Office. Double concentrating in Graphic Design and Painting with a minor in Digital Media, Mollie Rose has been able to offer her services in graphic design and marketing for the office. Mollie Rose loves to serve her community as a Resident Assistant in the dorms, as Vice President of the Art Club, and as a publisher and contributor to BSU’s Art and Literary Journal: The Bridge. She has also been artistically involved with multiple organizations on campus – designing logos, flyers, and curating art shows. With a passion for academics, Mollie Rose has earned a spot on the Dean’s List every semester she has been at BSU and continues to strive for excellence.
Isabella Ventura
Career Peer Advisor
Isabella Ventura is a Career Peer Advisor in the Career Services & Internship Program Office. She is a rising junior majoring in Special Education with a concentration in severe disabilities and a minor in Spanish. Isabella plays on the Bridgewater State University Women’s Ice Hockey Club Team and has maintained a spot on the Dean’s List every semester she has been at BSU. In the office, Isabella provides one-on-one advising sessions to students aimed at improving their resume and cover letter skills. She also will be creating career-related blog posts for the new website and representing the office across campus at various career events and programs. Isabella is always excited to meet with students and work with others around the office.
Tasnim Rahman
Career Peer Advisor
Tasnim Rahman is a Career Peer Advisor at the Career Services & Internship Program Office. She is an international student from Dhaka, Bangladesh, pursuing a bachelor’s degree of science in Management at Bridgewater State University. With a passion for academics, Tasnim has earned a spot on the Dean’s List every semester she has been at BSU and continues to strive for excellence. She is actively involved on campus through her diverse roles as an Economics Tutor at the Academic Achievement Centre (AAC) and a Resident Student Assistant (RSA), among others. Last but certainly not least, she holds a deep affection for BSU and skillfully manages her time to seamlessly integrate her academic pursuits with her diverse campus responsibilities.
Christian Sanchez
Career Peer Advisor
Christian was born in Boston and is a sophomore majoring in Aviation Science. He participated in the Honors Program freshman year at BSU, and he currently serves as the Vice President of the BSU Ski Club. He started working in the Career Services and Internship Program Office during his second year on campus, and he immediately loved the role; it brings him joy to connect his peers to advice and resources that will help them become their best selves. Christian has a clear passion for helping others and is eager to pursue his own Aviation business ventures after graduation.
Apoorva Swami
Apoorva, from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, is a senior student majoring in Marketing with a minor in Accounting and Finance. Through last year’s Rising Bears Program led by Career Services, Apoorva successfully secured a summer internship in her field of study. This year, she also served as the Vice President of Finance for the Relay for Life on campus. Currently, she contributes to our office’s marketing team, creating engaging content for our social media platforms.
Khristian Torres
Khristian Torres was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and is currently in his senior year, majoring in Computer Science. Throughout his academic journey, Khristian has demonstrated a strong passion for technology and problem-solving. Actively involved in various projects and extracurricular activities, he has honed his leadership skills and served as a mentor to younger students. Post-graduation, Khristian plans to pursue a master’s degree in data science, driven by his belief in its potential for innovation and impact. With a commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology, Khristian is eager to embark on the next phase of his academic and professional journey.
Jesse Yacubian
Jesse’s unique combination of skills and interests make him a dynamic individual passionate about visual storytelling and sports. As a communications major specializing in video production, Jesse is well-versed in the art of crafting compelling narratives through the lens of a camera. Jesse’s role on the lacrosse team not only showcases his athletic abilities but also highlights his teamwork and dedication to sportsmanship. Whether behind the camera or on the field giving it his all, Jesse’s diverse talents shine through, making him an asset both in the classroom and on the field.
Leila Chapman
Leila is from Randolph, Massachusetts, and is a junior majoring in marketing. She started working in the Career Services and Internship Program Office this semester after searching for an on-campus job that would allow her to continue to build her social media and marketing skills. As a social media assistant in the CSIP office, Leila uses her creativity to create informative and engaging content for the office’s various social media platforms. In addition, Leila is an active member of the American Marketing Association at BSU.
John Attebury
Graphic Design Assistant
John Attebury is a freshman at BSU, where he is majoring in graphic design. He has a passion for creativity and visual arts, which he hopes to turn into a successful career. John is a dedicated student who values education and is excited about the opportunities that college offers. In his free time, John loves snowboarding, and he finds joy in the thrill of snowy slopes. He also enjoys lifting weights and running, staying active, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Rylee Andrews
As a freshman majoring in marketing, and with a background in film and social media management, Rylee possesses a keen eye for visual storytelling and understands the intricacies of engaging online audiences. Her experiences as a reporter for her high school have honed her communication skills, allowing her to craft compelling narratives and analyze market trends effectively. Outside of her academic pursuits, Rylee is a dedicated Applebee’s team member, serving as a waitress and bartender. In her spare time, Rylee is a devoted dog parent to her beloved bulldog; she finds solace and joy in spending time with her furry companion. Whether she’s brainstorming marketing strategies, serving customers with a smile, or enjoying quality time with her pet, Rylee approaches each endeavor with enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence.
